The Neo-Guard Plus design prevents the prongs from coming into contact with the baby’s nose, so avoiding septum damage and mucosal irritation.  Binasal prongs are the most commonly used interface for the delivery of nasal positive airway pressure (CPAP) to preterm infants. However, they are associated with pressure-related nasal injury, which causes pain and discomfort.

The Neo-Guard Plus is a pre-cut foam with a silicone base that will:

• Give a constant seal to achieve a stable CPAP.
• The silicone base allows for easy repositioning of the cannula.
• Can be easily removed to observe and monitor the condition of the nasal nares.
