Prevent Patient Sliding in Steep Trendelenberg
TrenGuard™ is the most effective and efficient positioning system, on the market, for patients being placed in the Trendelenburg position.
The design behind the TrenGuard™ Trendelenburg Positioning System is time proven to be safe and capable of keeping patients weighing up to 550lbs fixed in place on the operating table while in extreme head down Trendelenberg inclination as great as 40 degrees.
One of the most important discussions surrounding patient positioning today revolves around the area of robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery.
The unique technology used by the surgical robot creates unintended consequences with regards to patient positioning. It has become obvious that any sliding at all during robotic surgery creates the added patient risk of injury because the robots are not programmed to change the location of the robotic arm, instruments and trocars to compensate for any change in patient position.
It is a safety imperative that patients do not slide during robotic surgery

TrenGuard™ is the only system on the market with a rigid support frame that is fixed to the accessory table rails with table clamps. The frame cannot move.
The surface of the frame is covered with industrial strength hook fastener and attached to this are the four adjustable patient support pads that anchor the patient to the table.
Patients Cannot Slide – The bolster, placed under the concavity of the neck, comes into full contact with the trapezius muscle. It functions as an effective physiological “speed bump”.
For those patients with no demonstrated cervical notch concavity, a Integrated Support Wedge was developed. This Integrated Support Wedge combines an elevated plane with the standard “speed bump”
No Shoulder Braces – Non-structural lateral stabilizing pillows help to control body mass shift as the patient transitions into extreme Trendelenberg.
Accomodates High-BMI – TrenGuard™ 600 is the only system capable of securing patients up to 249kg
With TrenGuard™, Patients cannot slide and there are no shoulder braces, even in the extreme 40 degrees trendelenberg position.
